Adult Day Care

JoAn Case & Merle crosswordOUR PROGRAM OF ADULT DAY CARE serves older adults and persons with disabilities who can benefit from participating in group settings. The curriculum includes an Individualized Plan of Care, group exercise, adult education classes (including English as a Second Language, Computers, Art, and History), nutritious meals and snacks, games, social work services, respite to caregivers, and support groups for participants and caregivers.

COST TO OUR PARTICIPANTS is on a suggested donation basis. The program may also be covered through SCAN Insurance (with a co-payment of $8.50 per day). Meals are included (breakfast, lunch, and snacks).

TRANSPORTATION to and from the center may be provided by the participant’s family, through the Orange County Transportation Authority’s Access Program, or through Acacia’s Senior Mobility Program (transportation provided by St. Anselm’s Multi-Cultural Center and Abrazar).

Our ADULT DAY HEALTH CARE PROGRAM serves older adults and persons with disabilities who need a higher level of care, but can still benefit from receiving services in a group setting. In addition to the services of the Adult Day Care Program, the Adult Day Health Care Program also offers: Physical therapy, Occupational therapy, and Speech therapy, nursing supervision, monitoring of vital signs, monitoring of blood glucose and blood pressure, dispensing medications, assistance with bathroom visits, dietary counseling and supervision, and psychological counseling. An Individualized Plan of Care is established with each participant and periodically reviewed by a team of specialists to ensure we are continuing to provide adequate care.

COST TO OUR PARTICIPANTS (including meals) may be covered through Medi-Cal, Long Term Care Insurance, Regional Center, Orange Caregiver Resource Center respite funds, and SCAN Insurance (with a co-pay of $8.50 per day) for those who qualify. Otherwise, it is offered on a sliding payment scale, according to income.
